OUR MISSION

We believe our mission is found in the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19-20:

Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to observe all that the Bible commands.

OUR VISION

We believe God has called our church to fulfill the Great commission at this time by:

Building relationships that last forever.

OUR PURPOSE

We believe God has designed five purposes of the church through which we are to accomplish our mission:

Worshipping God

Evangelizing the world

Discipling believers

Fellowshipping with God’s family

Ministering to the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of others

OUR BELIEFS

We believe that there is one God who sent His only Son, Jesus Christ to be the Savior of the world.  Because of Christ’s death and resurrection, we can be saved and brought into God’s family.  As members of that family and of this church, we hold to the following as evidence of the unchanging, perfect Word of God:

BIBLICAL FOUNDATION

  1. We believe the mission of this church is the accomplishment of the Great Commission.
  2. We believe the functions/ purposes of this church are evangelism, discipleship, ministry, fellowship and worship.
  3. We believe the results of this church performing these five functions/ purposes will be numerical growth, spiritual growth and transformation, the expansion of ministries, and the advancement of missions.
  4. The Holy Bible is the complete, inspired, inerrant written Word of God in which He reveals Himself to humanity.

FAMILY

  1. We believe the home is the primary arena for the spiritual transformation of the entire family.
  2. We believe in the winning, discipling, and equipping of the parents and/ or caregivers to be the primary spiritual leaders of their children.

DISCIPLESHIP

  1. We believe baptism is the immersion of a believer in water as an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a risen Savior and as a testimony to the world of new life in Jesus.
  2. We believe the spiritual growth of individuals is influenced by the degree of spiritual maturity of their ministers, leaders, family and peers.
  3. We believe in providing open Bible study groups for all people that focus on foundation al, Biblical discipleship and evangelism.
  4. We believe in providing small groups for individuals who desire deeper discipleship content, lifestyle and attendance accountability, and study and spiritual preparation.
  5. We believe in preparing people to make the adjustments necessary to join God in His work.
  6. We believe in providing consistent equipping, encouragement, and guidance to individuals who sense a call of God to Christian ministry vocations as well as those who have been called out by God to minister to the church body.
  7. We believe in equipping people to fulfill the ministries to which they have been called, including ministry roles in the congregation, in the denomination, and in the entire Kingdom of God.

EVANGELISM, MINISTRY, AND MISSIONS

  1. We believe in training members to make a coherent presentation of the gospel to those who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  2. We believe in mobilizing and sending members to present the gospel to all people, both locally and globally.
  3. We believe in mobilizing and sending members to meet human needs in the name of Jesus, both locally and globally.
  4. We believe in training members to design the most effective strategies to evangelize and minister to target cultures and people groups, both locally and globally.
  5. We believe in training members to sense a connection and solidarity with other missionaries, both past and present.
  6. We believe in challenging every member to be involved in missions.
  7. We believe in equipping members to represent the Great Physician in the lives of hurting individual families inside and outside the body of Christ.

PRAYER AND WORSHIP

  1. We believe in calling the church to an ongoing prayer strategy to under gird the ministry of the church.
  2. We believe in involving everyone in worship during which they experience God, both with the full congregation and in small group settings.
  3. We believe in training members to use music as a language of worship and as a tool of evangelism and discipleship.

FELLOWSHIP

  1. We believe that the church should unite individuals into a unique, Christian family by Biblical fellowship.

STRUCTURE

  1. We believe ministry belongs to a body of believers.
  2. We believe every ministry event, organization, and ministry must provide an atmosphere and environment best suited to its specific target audience and must be designed to accomplish one or more of the church functions/ purposes.
  3. We believe that representative members should be mobilized to establish priorities; select organizations, events, and ministries; and implement ministry plans.
  4. We believe ministry is most effective when a congregation calls God’s people whether funded or volunteer, to coordinate the church’s ministries.
  5. We believe the Great Commission is best achieved when Christians across the body of Christ network their efforts, without loss of Biblical integrity.
